Where It All Began

This idea didn’t start in a meeting room or with a business plan. It started with one trip. A friend visited from the plains. We took him to see sunrise at Tiger Hill – that slow change of colour over Kanchenjunga. He stood quietly for a long time and then said, “I didn’t just see the place. I felt something.” That stayed with us.

Later, many such moments came. The smell of fresh momos in a small shop, the sound of monks chanting in a monastery, a child running after prayer wheels in Rumtek – simple things, yet unforgettable. We thought: Why not create a travel service that lets people actually feel the hills? Not rushed sightseeing. Not complicated rules. Just real experiences. And that is how Meher Travels started.
